Marking the launch of ‘Prada Beauty’, the design and production of a monumental installation at Door 5, Harrods, drew inspiration from Prada’s original Milan boutique in the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II, reinterpreted through a contemporary architectural lens. An exercise in mass and detail. Deceptively simple, extraordinarily complex, 12 metres tall, 10,000kg, developed from a hand sketch in just four months. Weeks of CNC milling, waterjet cutting and welding, engineered to look utterly seamless.

Prada Beauty, Harrods, London

From sketch to structure
Each piece was fabricated off-site through CNC milling, waterjet cutting and welding, then assembled on location to disappear into a single, seamless silhouette, engineering hidden entirely behind the artistry.
