A store-wide lighting installation designed and produced to bring festive wonder to Westfield’s retail experience, unifying the entire visitor journey under a single, considered scheme. Drawing on the ephemeral beauty of the Northern Lights and the symmetry of snowflakes, a language of geometric dichroic mosaics was developed and shaped into a family of sculptural, modular light forms, reimagining traditional festive symbols throughout. At its heart stood a 13-metre tree, a feat of technical engineering built from 350 cast bronze custom nodes, inviting visitors to step inside a kaleidoscope of colour and light.

Kaleidoscopic Northern Lights, at every turn
Overhead, dichroic triangular facets came together in graphic, faceted chandeliers and hanging installations at key wayfinding moments and circulation routes across the centre, enriching and connecting the space.
